This page explains how to enter Form 1099-INT, Interest Income, Form 1099-DIV, Dividend Income, and when a Schedule B is required.
Interest Listing Page, Dividend Listing Page, or Add Schedule B:
- Add the "Interest Listing Page" when the total taxable Interest and Ordinary Dividends are $1,499 or less.
- Add "Schedule B" when the total taxable Interest and Ordinary Dividends are $1,500 or more.
Adding Interest Listing Page. Dividend Listing Page, or Schedule B
Add Interest Listing Page, Dividend Listing Page, or Schedule B.
Select "Income" from your list. This will expand your Forms and Schedules included in your return.
Click "Add Income Form" to display all supported income forms available, and select the applicable form/page
(Interest Listing Page, Dividend Listing Page, or Schedule B).
Form 1099-INT Interest Income:
When Schedule B is added, select the link within the Interest Section to open the Interest Listing Page.
Select "Add new".
Entering Interest Income
Name of Interest Payer:
Enter the Payer Name from Form 1099-INT, Form 1099-OID, applicable Statement from Bank/Broker, or when reporting Interest Income without a Form enter the name of Payer Interest is from.

Includes Early Withdraw Penalty, Foreign Taxes Paid, Tax-Exempt Interest listings. (see below for more information),
Amount of Interest Received:
Enter the total amount of Interest Income Do not combine multiple Interest Income amounts.
There are no limit to the number of listings a return can include. Create a New Listing for each.
Enter the amount of Taxable Interest Received and Non-Taxable Interest Received.

Federal Income Tax withheld:
Enter the Federal Income Tax Withheld from Form 1099-INT, Form 1099-OID, or applicable Bank Statement.
Advanced Entries Section:
Early Withdrawal Penalty, Foreign Taxes Paid, and Tax Exempt Interest.
Interest is tax exempt:
Check this box when the total amount of Interest Income is non-taxable.

- Box 1 Interest Income
- Box 2 Early Withdrawal Penalty
- Box 3 Interest on U.S. Savings Bonds and Treas. obligations

- Box 4 Federal Income Tax Withheld

- Box 7 Foreign country or U.S. possession
- Box 8 Tax-Exempt Interest.

Form 1099-OID,Original Issue Discount
Form 1099-OID: Taxable Income:
- Box 1 Original Issue Discount (OID) Must be current tax year. ,
- Box 2 Other Periodic Interest. Important: This may or may not be Taxable Interest Income.

Form 1099-DIV Dividend Income:
Note: If Schedule B is added, select the link within the Dividend Section. The Dividend Listing Page will open.
Select "Add New".
Entering Dividend Income:
Name of Dividend Payer:
Enter the Payer Name from Form 1099-DIV.
There are no limit to the amount of Dividend Listings you can add.
How often are the dividends paid:
Select how often the dividends are paid.
How long did you hold the stock:
The dividends will be taxed depending on how long the this stock was held.
Enter the dividend income exactly as the Form 1099-DIV lists it.
Select the "Click here to show advanced entries" for:
Collectibles 28% Gains, Nontaxable Distributions, Foreign Taxes Paid, and Amount Received as a Nominee.
